Kieran Somerville
This is a website that is multi-faceted. It's my professional portfolio, it's a blog, store, music hub, and more. I am Kieran Somerville, also known as Kieran Stephens. I am known as Kieran Stephens in Second Life, which is my display name for both of my avatars (Tokyo Enyo and Starlordx1983 Resident).
I am also someone who deep dives into popular culture as a media study. This recently is not just because of my academic degree in design, but my love for the Final Fantasy series.
I am a graphic designer by trade with skills in Illustration, Publication Design. I also am an amateur Music producer who designs their own track covers. I work within the virtual world of second life as well as of course - our first life!
Gaming & Music
Between doing self-studies into various forms of media, I've delved into becoming a bit of a gamer. I'll be blogging about games I play as well as delving into being a Radio DJ on Dark Star Radio. I also make my own music, and you'll see releases of that announced via the blog as well as social media events.
Design & Art
I have a Bachelor's degree in Communication Design from Otago Polytechnic. I graduated in 2019 with Merit. I focused on Print, Publications and Illustration. The photo to the side here is of the 2019 Brass Monkey Rally badge. It's a motorcycle rally that has in previous years happened in Idaburn Dam, Oturehua, Central Otago. They're on hiatus until 2021.
Graphic Design
I also have been involved in several local community projects both paid and volunteer. Through the end of 2018 into 2019 and nearing the end of my degree - I worked with Dunedin Pride on several designs. In 2020 I worked with Hands Up and related projects to service logo and publication designs.

Logo Design
As noticed above, there are several logo design projects I have been involved in since I graduated. Some of the text based design shown is also from a 2018 poster project. I have worked with Southern Force and Hands Up for recent designs. Volunteering Otago was a 2018 class project for a theoretical logo.
